Volunteer with Red2Blue!
Wherever you live, whatever your skills and experience, interests, and schedule, there are so many ways you can help. Please volunteer for one or many actions -- and thank you!
Elections run on volunteers who can help through traditional on-the-ground actions as well as those we now perform remotely. If you have the time, we have the need. There are lots of ways to get involved. No matter where you live, or whether you like to get out and meet people or work from the privacy of your own home, you can help flip districts from red to blue. Join us!
Canvassing
Knocking on doors to engage with voters may be the most powerful way to help Democrats win. Join us and our local allies to keep pushing results from Red2Blue! No car necessary, though drivers are welcome and always needed.
Candidate Recruiting
Partner with the Red2Blue team to identify prospective candidates for local activists to contact, helping build progressive leadership in districts where Republicans have previously run unopposed. If you’re comfortable with online research and Google sheets, this could be a perfect project for you.
Phone Banking
“Meaningful,” “positive,” and “energizing” is how R2B volunteers describe recent phone-bank calls. If you have a laptop or tablet and a phone, we’ll provide instructions, a script, and a friendly, supportive group to help you help voters protect democracy.
Postcard and Letter Writing
Multiple studies demonstrate the powerful impact that a personalized postcard or letter can have on a voter. R2B helps volunteers participate effectively in these efforts, working on their own or with their family, social, or activist network. (Mailing costs and specific tasks can vary among postcard/letter campaigns.)
Technical Support
We can alway use tech-savvy volunteers. Our website, our newsletter, our phone banks—all of these activities (and more) call for technical knowhow. (Not coding!) If you're knowledgeable about tech, you can boost R2B’s impact.
Text Banking
Efficient and easy. This is a great way to help voters and boost turnout. R2B text banks use a simple platform that lets you work right from your computer’s web browser. (Support is always available!) We also offer opportunities to write and edit texting scripts.
Web Research and Data Entry
R2B volunteers have entered thousands of newly registered voters onto spreadsheets for follow-up phone calls and done deep dives on the Web for other projects. Advanced computer skills not required—just time, enthusiasm, and dedication.
Writers Group
This highly skilled team of writers, editors, and researchers works on a project-to-project basis, individually or as a group. They’ve created messaging, built candidate guides, written articles, crafted social media posts, copy-edited, taken meeting notes, consulted with candidates, and much more.
