Do you know your way around Facebook and have 10 – 15 minutes throughout the day to spare? As a social media management volunteer for Democratic candidates, you can make a difference by helping them manage their Facebook pages. You’ll monitor the page, oversee comment threads, flag noteworthy responses or voter questions, recruit volunteers, respond to requests, and communicate important things to campaign staff members. You may also be asked to respond to inquiries the campaign receives via Facebook Messenger. This role does not involve creating content for the page, but rather helping to ensure that the page is interactive and provides timely responses to voters. Helping manage a campaign Facebook page can save a candidate and their campaign staff a lot of time and can be done from anywhere that you have cell service!
